Technical Project Manager

Technical Project Manager Position, Near North Chicago Suburbs, to 75K.

Project Manager will have:

~5 years experience in designing and developing web solutions
3+ years experience in project management.
The following minimum skillset: HTML, ASP, ASP.NET, XML, VB, JavaScript, Flash, COM, ActiveX objects, Photoshop, Quark, Illustrator, Project Management Tools, PPT, database management and SQL Server.

Primary duties and responsibilities include:
Develop new web solutions to support procurement and reporting systems
Design systems that support internal processes and procedures
Configure and troubleshoot IIS
Effectively communicate project progress and deliverables to account team members
Estimate projects (time and costs)
Accountable for meeting project deadlines and cost estimates
Gather spec requirements and gain group buy-in
Manage multiple tasks/projects at one time
Provide mentoring and technical guidance to members of the Web Services Team
Assist Web Director in developing IT policies, procedures, and web disaster recovery program enhancements

The web team is currently looking for a project management resource to be able to:

manage web related projects
build project estimates & manage project timelines and costs versus estimates
develop and implement quality controls around projects
build testing plans and test all programming / project work
conduct code reviews
provide insights to new innovations, areas of improvement
program / assist in programming if needed

This person will be doing day to day project management, testing, quality control - making sure the team's work is accurate and tested before thy go live with functionality....building real project specs and estimates, etc...The biggest requirement is that it is a nice person that can communicate well and that is flexible and very easy to get along with...and most importantly - someone that is totally reliable so when they say they will hit a deadline - they will...
