In search for Military Tactics Instructors in Mississippi & California (CONUS): Due to a contract proposal anticipated, Wxford Group, Inc., employment opportunities for duty locations:
Gulfport MS
TDY (FTX) locations:
Camp Shelby, MS
WoolMarket, MS
Port Hueneme CA
TDY (FTX) locations:
Fort Hunter Liggett, CA
Camp Roberts, CA
Clearances: Must be eligible for a SECRET clearance. Personnel who hold a current Secret clearance are highly desirable. Indicate current security clearance and availability date on resume.
Pay is expected to be between $52,000 and $62,000 a year, depending on position and experience.
Basic Qualifications:
Candidates must have prior documented Tactical Training experience/expertise with U. S. Armed Forces (Marines, Army, Navy, Air Force and Coast Guard). Candidates must have all training certificates/certifications available for course(s) of instruction defined within Statement of Work. Must have a thorough familiarity of military weapons systems as well as a wide variety of military tactics topics associated with assigned courses in order to conduct training in the fundamentals and skills. Knowledge is also required to properly organize, illustrate, and interpret course material to give expressions to the abstract principle and concepts associated with the subject matter, and to make substantive recommendations for changes to the course.
Performance may also be required in the current Global War on Terrorism (GWOT) Theater including Iraq, Afghanistan and Kuwait.
Military Tactics Courses include:
- Basic Combat Skills Level 1 & 2, Squad Leaders Course, Convoy Security
- MOUT, IED
- Blue Force Tracker, Officer and Chief Course
- Various Weapons employment courses (Claymore Mine, M67 FRAG Grenade, Shotgun, M-16, M9, M-203, MK-19, M2, .50 Cal, M240B and AT-4)
Duties:
Contractor personnel shall provide classroom and field training instruction utilizing approved lesson plans in accordance with training course control documents. Field training instruction consists of practical application in a field environment and shall cover course(s) learning objectives, evaluation of students and performance of Range Coach functions during “Live Fire” training evolutions required for weapons employment Courses of Instruction (COI). Contractor should be prepared to administer and evaluate all subject tests and quizzes, ensuring they meet program guidelines and effectively measure the student progress on all mandated objectives. Additionally the contractor shall provide extra instruction daily to any students who may need individualized assistance, maintain and submit accurate reports on attendance, behavior, and academic progress, and work harmoniously with peers and other groups both internal and external to the program, using military knowledge and skills to enhance and accomplish the goals of the program.
Specific Qualifications:
- Must be willing to spend substantial time in a field training environment or on assigned travel (TAD or Mobile Training Team)
- Must have High School Diploma
- Must be a U.S. Citizen (proof of citizenship required).
- Must be in good health and maintain a neat, clean and professional appearance.
- Must be able to obtain/maintain a SECRET or higher clearance.
- No history of major illness or mental disorder.
- No felony, violent crimes, spouse or child abuse convictions (NO WAIVERS)
- Must have previous military experience with Honorable Discharge and DD-214. (Prior Expeditionary service preferred)
- No personal bankruptcy or significant credit problems within the last seven (7) years.
- Must have instructor certifications or qualifications obtained from U. S. Armed Forces (i.e. Navy NEC 9502, Marine/Army/Air Force MOS Instructor certified, Coast Guard Instructor, DOD agencies or civilian equivalent.
- Contractor employees shall have a working knowledge of Windows XP, MS-Word, MS-Outlook, MS-PowerPoint, and MS-Excel.
- Valid Passport
Workload: The contract employee will be physically on board Monday through Friday (and occasional weekends) during the hours of 0630 to 1600 and available 24 hours during field portions of curriculum.
Extended Hours: Contracted requirements will periodically require the contract employee to exceed normal duty hours. Approximately 5% overtime can be expected.
