Information Security Specialist

CACI Opportunity, Dahlgren, VA, Information Security Specialist
Position Number:  JR 21499
Duties:
CACI has an immediate opening for an Information Security Specialist to support the Naval Surface Warfare Center Dahlgren Division (NSWCDD). Duties and responsibilities center on providing a wide array of Information Assurance support to multiple branches within NSWCDD.

A successful candidate will generate system and network accreditation packages in accordance with current Department of Navy (DoN) and NSWCDD policies and guidelines. The candidate will enter and maintain all accreditation data in the NSWCDD accreditation database. The candidate will research and develop System Security Authorization Agreements (SSAA) and Security Operating Procedures (SOP) for all applicable client networks. In addition, the candidate will conduct incident handling and security update procedures as needed.

Required Qualifications:
Must have a current or be eligible to obtain a DoD Secret Clearance.

A successful candidate will have a bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science or a related discipline (or equivalent such as certifications in systems administration or network security) and one to two years related computer security experience.

The ideal candidate will have real world experience interpreting and following DoN and NSWCDD Information Assurance (IA) regulations and policies. The ideal candidate will have an understanding of network technologies and the ability to develop security documentation. The ideal candidate will have an understanding of the DITSCAP process and methodologies.

Microsoft Access

Required Programming Languages and Technologies:
None

Required Software:
Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, Microsoft PowerPoint, Microsoft Windows operating systems

Desired Qualifications:
In addition to the qualifications described above, the most desirable candidate would have the ability to work in a fast paced environment and to effectively interact with all levels of client users and management.
