Title: Systems Engineer 4 Job Location: Hunt Valley, MD Job Description: Perform as a systems engineer on projects and proposals for unmanned aircraft systems. Initial assignment will be as systems engineer on one of several Unmanned Aircraft System projects. Future assignments will be provided by the Director of Systems Engineering of Unmanned Aircraft Systems. Will execute requirements analysis and system design activities. Will work with hardware and software product engineers to accomplish tasks such as: trade studies, requirements management, architecture development, interpretation and decomposition of requirements, derivation and allocation of system or subsystem requirements to hardware and software elements of the systems design. Will be responsible for developing and maintaining the requirements database documenting traceability of customer requirements to detailed requirements and verification testing plans. Required Skills: Bachelor degree in engineering or directly related discipline required. Must have nine years of systems engineering experience or equivalent academic, engineering, and/or management experience. Requires a detailed understanding of Systems Engineering process, including requirements analysis, requirements management, architecture development, and interface control. Proven effective written and oral communication skills. Demonstrated ability to apply logical or scientific thinking to a wide range of intellectual and practical problems. Effective ability to organize and prioritize assigned tasks. Four years of experience leading groups of 3 or more systems engineers. Must be a US citizen and must be able to obtain a SECRET US security clearance. Occasional travel (0 to 10%) to customers, supplier, users and test locations required.
