Prof. R. Timothy Patterson is director of the Ottawa-Carleton Geoscience Centre, Department of Earth Sciences, Carleton University. On June 20, 2007, he published an article, Read the Sunspots,  in Canada.com that reports on the recent research results from a group of world-class scientists – and that definitively shows that the world is facing significant global cooling by the year 2020, cooling that cannot be stopped, only accommodated.
