I get a lot of Japanese spam.
I don't know why, exactly—I don't surf any Japanese porn—but I pretty reliably get a dozen pieces a day. This morning, one stopped me in my tracks. Remember, back in the old days, when we used to make big text out of vertical bars and asterisks? I think we called it ASCII art.
Within that context, here's what was at the top of my e-mail. I find it sort of incredible that this means something to somebody:
